Story time! So I work part time retail and the other day my coworker asked me for help with this Chinese speaking customer because I was the only Chinese speaking worker left in store so basically the customer bought something like 10 minutes ago, wore it and wanted to do an exchange She came back wanted to do an exchange even though we already told her that once you wear something you can’t exchange But okay never mind. I didn’t even bother to like argue with her on that Because okay lah, she only wore it for a few minutes, right? So I said, okay What would you like to exchange it to? She showed me this thing. I said, okay, let me check your size No more size. There was that like one display piece left. So I told her that everything is outside already We cannot we cannot do the exchange for you. We don’t have the stock. Do you want something else? She was like no, you’re obviously lying to me. You went in for like two minutes and then you came out Then I was like, huh? Yeah, cuz I know where my stock is so I don’t have to take very long to check for you But okay, I didn’t say that lah. She was saying like You bring your manager out And then okay It’s not manager cuz my manager left already is that my chief leader doesn’t speak Chinese and she was trying to like complain to him and bear in mind this whole time for like English-speaking Singaporean husband or like partner was next for her and refused to translate for her I don’t know why and then she kept trying to speak to my non Chinese chief leader in Chinese and And then he was saying like I don’t understand and then she kept asking me to come and translate for her when her husband speaks Chinese and English Don’t know but she kept saying like we are lying. We don’t want to help her. It’s because we’re lazy Hello, I would really really much rather Exchange if I could but I’m really good.
