These are the top eight worst selling cars here through the month of August. Car dealerships are struggling moving these units. And if you’re new to my channel, hi, my name is Matthew Long. And on this channel, all we talk about is making money, saving money, and how to better invest. So in today’s video, I’m going to talk about the eight slowest, if not worst selling cars here through the month of August. If you’re at the car dealership and you like any of these models, come back to this video because if they tell you there’s a high demand or they don’t have many in stock, don’t fall for their games because deep down they are desperate to move these units because a lot of them, they are sitting for weeks on end not moving. So if you want to find a good deal and you like these models, make sure you negotiate a awesome deal for you and your family. All right, so let’s jump right into it on number eight on our list is the Acura ZDX. Unfortunately for Acura and dealerships across the country, the market day supply for the ZDX is 340 days. What do I mean by that? If they stop producing any more of these cars, it would take nearly 340 days, which is almost a year’s time to sell everything off of dealership lots. So as of right now, there are 4132 of these for sale and in the last 45 days, dealerships across the country have only been able to move 547 units. Not looking good for the foreseeable future for Acura and Acura dealers holding this fleet. Next on my list at number seven is going to be through Mini, Mini Cooper’s four door hardtop. They have right now 355 market day supply of these and right now they have 1,271 for sale across the country. It doesn’t seem like a whole lot, but again, there’s not that many Mini Cooper dealers around the country. Right now in the last 45 days, they’ve only sold 161 Mini Cooper four door. When you look at the numbers, Mini is having a really hard time moving these four doors. Number six doesn’t surprise me too much. It’s through Land Rover. It’s the Discovery Sport. Right now they have 2,051 available for sale across the country. The market day supply for the Discovery Sport is 371 days. So now we’re talking over a year’s time to move all of these if they stop making Discovery Sports. And the only time I see a Discovery Sport on the road, honestly, is when it says loan or on the back of it. I just don’t like the look of them. I prefer a full-size Discovery if I’m going to buy a Discovery. The Sport to me is just not very attractive. Number five surprises me a little bit. It’s the Lincoln Aviator. I know they had some issues with manufacturing these with some of the recalls and such. As of right now, the market day supply on the Aviator is 392 days and total for sale is 8,153. And again, I think a lot of that was from backlog, from them not able to sell, fixing all of the recalls and such. So I’m not opposed to buying an Aviator, but if you’re out looking for one for you and your family, you need to negotiate like hell in getting the best deal possible for you and your family on an Aviator. Number four is the Maserati Levante. We have done many videos on this particular Maserati model. Market day supply is 410 days and total for sale as of right now are 602. And in the last 45 days, they’ve only sold 66 units. Honestly, anytime I see anyone driving this vehicle, I always just shake my head and say, man, not only did you probably get a terrible deal on that vehicle, you have a massive depreciation bomb on your hands. And that thing is going to be worth way less when you go to sell it. Just for me, stay away from this one. Number three is the Mercedes Benz EQB. Market day supply on these is 427 days. Are we starting to see a trend, everyone? The EV market is struggling. And right now for Mercedes, they have 3546 total units for sale. And in the last 45 days, they’ve only moved 373. I can’t see again in the foreseeable future Mercedes having much success moving these guys. One, they’re extremely expensive. And two, EVs are just not as popular as what everyone thought they would be here going into 2024, 2025. Number two doesn’t again surprise me at all. It’s the large Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Again, for paying over $100,000 for this, the market day supply is 428 days. Wow. And total for sale are 2214 days with only 233 units across the country being sold. I just honestly could see Jeep really struggling moving these for the next six months to a year if they don’t start drastically cutting prices or incentivizing listen promotions. And unfortunately, number one again is their Dodge. It’s the Dodge Hornet. Do I absolutely hate this car? No, I just think they didn’t promote it or market it worth a damn. Market day supply, unfortunately for the Hornet, is a little bit better at 428 days. It was higher in total for sale. This is crazy. There are 14,596. The good news is they are starting to move a little bit more in the last 45 days. They’ve sold 1,536 Hornets, probably because of that 84 months, 0% financing deal that Dodge is doing on the Hornet right now. So do I absolutely hate this car? No, I just think it was poorly promoted. And some people don’t like the whole look of it, but I’m not totally against this vehicle if you’re looking to score a really great deal right now. Well, there you have it folks. Those are the eight slowest, if not worst selling cars here through August of 2024. Let me know in the comments what you think about any of these cars that we talked about in today’s list. As always, I hope you got value in today’s video. If you have a question about a car or lease upcoming, let me know in the comments below. I will see you guys on the next one.
