Optimizing Settings for Smooth Gameplay: Black Myth Wukong Performance Guide

Change these settings right now to make sure that Black Myth Wukong runs as smooth as butter on your console or PC. This game has officially had one of the biggest launches in history, with over 1.4 million players playing right now live on Steam. But there’s been a lot of concerns about performance, and these are the exact settings you want to go in and change to make it so that the game runs incredibly smooth. So without further ado, head right into your settings and go to graphics. First of all, make sure that ray tracing is turned off. Then turn your anti-aliasing, post effects, and visual effects down to high. These will make sure that you can see what the bosses are doing and appropriately dodge their moves without affecting your performance too much. Then lower your shadow quality, texture quality, vegetation, hair quality, and definitely lower the reflection. Shadows and reflections in games are one of the most intense on performance, and unless you have a supercomputer, they usually don’t enhance the game as much as they hinder it. Then I would suggest leaving your view distance at high or above. This will allow you to see bosses or chests or other locations out in a distance, and it’s actually really useful in this game. There is a ton of open world aspects that are very far away that you can see and you’ll know to head in that direction. And the major one you want to make sure to turn off as well, and it’s hidden, go into accessibility and turn off motion blur. I don’t know why people even have this turned on in video games. Just turn off motion blur. You’re going to thank me for it, and I hope you enjoy Black Myth Wukong. I’m giving away a few copies over on the page.
