Modern Gods and Video Game Tales: An Animated Anthology Series Review

We are getting a new god of war set in modern day New York.
Kind of.
There is a new animated anthology series by the people who made love,
death, and robots coming out,
featuring 15 different stories
inspired by some of the best video game series ever.
Those video games include god of War,
Megaman, Armored Core,
Outer World, Sifu,
among many others. So essentially,
we are getting one episode of 15 different video game themed shows.
You know, pretty decent look at the Sephiroth one.
And the art style is super cool.
It reminds me a lot of arcane Warhammer 40.
K1 looks absolutely sick. It’s dark,
it’s gritty, it’s everything you want out of a 40K short.
We also get a brief look at the Armored Core one,
which just looks visually stunning.
I think I’m most excited for the Megaman 1, though,
just because
I’d love to see some filmmaker take Megaman Super seriously,
you know? Like, what?
What could this be? What could this be?
Like, I’m hoping it’s not like the sonic movies where it’s just like,
silly and dumb. Like,
I’d love for this to have the seriousness of like,
like, Naruto,
you know? Kratos also shows up in, like,
modern day New York, which is strange.
Oh, do, like,
what could this be? It’s gonna actually be Jin from ghost of Tsushima.
Which means instead of getting like,
a god of war short or actually getting like,
a PlayStation multiverse one.
Regardless, this is Awesome!
This is good news for literally everybody on the planet.
