Dude, I found the best way to describe Black Myth Wukong.
It is a diet souls. Like, okay,
and I mean this the best of ways,

Apparently that’s 33% through the game.
However, I’ve been trying to find the best way to describe this game,
and before this game even released,
they didn’t want to call itself a souls.
Like, however,
I can tell you playing it,
I understand what they’re saying
because it’s not quite like an Elden ring,
a Bloodborne, or even like a Sekiro,
but it’s similar enough. Like,
you can tell the obvious inspirations that they have from games like
Shakira. And let me just say this,
this game needs a parry mechanic.
I am pressing the button that is the parry button for Shakira in this,
because it feels like some Wukong should be able to parry.
But I digress. As I’m playing this game,
I’m just trying to think of the best way to describe it,
like, for a review.
And then I remembered a game that it is very similar to.
Star Wars, Jedi Survivor.
I cannot unsee it. Like,
they are crazy similar. Like,
if I had to describe this game based off other games that I’ve played,
it is like if you took a blending of god of War,
Ragnarok, Sakuro,
and Jedi Survivor. But here’s the weird part.
They called Jedi Survivor A souls like.
And I understand why they want to move away from being called
A souls like, because at the end of the day,
the game does have a few problems.
Like, I’m not gonna lie to you,
black myth Wukong does not have bosses
that are at the same level of spectacle of any
from soft game. Like,
they’re fun boss fights, but, like,
there are fun boss fights because it’s really fun to play Sun Wukong.
And from Soft Games, the bosses are just fun.
And that’s the key distinction.
I feel like these. That diet souls like.
Okay, that.
That’s what I’m coining for their title.
They’re like souls likes enough to, like,
to get. Prepare you for them,
but they’re not quite at that level of difficult.
Well, here’s the thing.
Diet souls likes can be just as difficult
because the brother, did you have to fight Agado Bogdo in this game?
That shit was unforgivable.
But the bosses are not at the same level of spectacle,
and your character is a little bit more powerful.
Hence the name diet souls like.
