Unveiling Truth and Resilience: Brandon Skelner’s Response to It Ends With Us Drama

I thought that the drama with it ends with us was dying down,
Brandon Skelner just took to his Instagram to address all of the talk.
Brandon Skelner plays Atlas in the it ends with us movie
and has also been alongside Blake Lively
during the whole press junket of this movie.
And if you’re caught up on all the Blake Lively interviews,
then you’ve seen some of Brendan’s face expressions
during the question and answers
and some of the responses that Blake was giving.
Neither of these two have addressed or brought up the name
Justin Baldoni during any of their interviews.
Brandon also does not address Justin’s name
in this particular Instagram post
that he made three hours ago.
Feel free to pause and read.
I’m just going to give you a synopsis.
In the first paragraph,
Brandon addresses that Colleen and the rest of the women in the cast
stand for hope, perseverance,
and for women choosing a better life for themselves
and that vilifying any of these women
is just not the right thing to do.
If you’ve been keeping up,
then you know that
Blake has been criticized for not talking about the DV
that was involved in this storyline.
He goes on to say that he has a close friend who was struggling
similar to Lily, and that this movie really inspired her.
He also goes on to say that
there wasn’t a single person involved in making this movie
that didn’t take It seriously.
And that didn’t feel responsible for passing along the message.
Then he goes on to say, before you spread hate,
think about what you’re doing.
Ask yourself, who is this helping?
He addresses the online bullying
and basically suggests that
there’s no purpose in continuing that narrative.
I think Brendan Scannell did a really good job playing Atlas
in the movie. It ends with us,
and I really enjoyed seeing him during the press junket
and all of the interviews.
