Revving Up Life: Insights from Monterey Car Week

Escape your hometown. Now,
I’m not necessarily saying that you need to move away,
but you need to do what I just did.
Now, over the last week,
I have not been home.
I have been in California for an event known as Monterey Car Week.
And while on that trip, I realized two things.
One, my life isn’t all that.
And two, if I find myself struggling with life,
I know that there is always going to be an opportunity
to be a better person. And most will say life is not about money.
But having a successful life is really nice,
especially if you do something you’re passionate about
and if you keep the people that are most important in your life close.
Now, being around my cars and driving them around all the time,
I don’t get to see crazy Bugattis, Koenigseggs.
So I’m not gonna lie, sometimes it’s pretty easy to assume, hey,
I’m doing crazy good. And then I go to Monterey Car Week
and I see these guys racking up miles on five million dollar cars.
Which is motivated me a lot to really work hard
to get to some point like that in my life.
Now, the second part,
a lot of successful people would talk to you
and tell you their life story if you asked.
And a lot of these guys, we’re really,
really struggling. And they realized what they enjoyed.
Capitalize on that and fast forward.
Even five years later. And they are at a crazy point in life.
And so the things they told me was be disciplined,
don’t spend money on stupid stuff
and do something you enjoy.
So if you are looking for a wake up call,
I definitely recommend going to an event like Monterey Car Week.
Cause it’s safe to say after that week,
my life has kind of changed for the better.
I’ll see you next time. Drive safe.
