Financial Feminist: Empowering Women Through Financial Independence and Advocacy

There’s a reason my book and podcast are called Financial Feminist.
Every financial issue is a feminist one,
and every feminist issue is a financial one.
The upcoming election is Paramount for women’s rights.
It’s not just about who we elect to be president.
It’s about the policies we enact at the local level
to make an impact on our daily lives.
And more than ever, it’s about advocating for the rights.
I’m not just Washingtonians,
but women all over the world,
including in places where women are under attack,
like the Gaza Strip. Everything changes when women have money.
When women have money, they have options.
The option to leave unsafe jobs or relationships
and put themselves in environments that respect them.
The option to make decisions about their own bodies.
The option to donate to causes they believe in, travel,
start businesses. When I talk to women in my community,
this is the opportunity they want to be well taken care of,
safe and whole, so they can work to change the system for themselves
and everyone around them.
