Review: Post Malone’s F1000000000000 Country Album – A Lukewarm Cash Grab or Genuine Artistic Effort?

This new Post Malone country album,
F1000000000000, is another mediocre addition to his discography.
Usually I’m a supporter of when artists try out different genres.
I typically think it’s a highly respectable move,
but I can’t say that applies to this album.
And let me explain why. Of the 18 songs,
there’s none that I think are bad,
but a majority of them are,
although catchy, just average in multiple aspects
and sound way too purposely manufactured for Country Hits Radio.
However, I think a big part of that
is because of the star studded lineup of features
that contains many of country music’s biggest names.
Out of the 18 songs, there’s only three with no feature.
I think if the features were kept to a minimum,
it would have felt like a much more genuine artistic effort from posts,
but instead F1000000000000 sadly feels like a complete cash grab.
My favorite song is I had some help.
It’s a banger, always has been.
And my least favorite song is hide my gun.
I’m Nick Fry and I’m giving F1 trillion by Post Malone a 5 out of 10.
