Sony A7R V: Testing the Limits of High Megapixel Photography with CF Express vs. V90 SD Card

This is Sony’s highest megapixel camera
and we are testing it against our fastest CF A card.
The A7R 5 is capable of shooting 10 frames per second. At 60 megapixels,
that’s nearly 700 megabytes every second.
It’s a good thing we are using a CF Express card.
I wanted to see how long I can realistically hold the shutter button
before it needed to buffer.
Surprisingly, the camera did not even stutter.
It’s safe to say with a fast CF Express like our pro grade one,
you’ll never experience any realistic buffering when doing burst.
Just for comparison sake, we also tested this with a V90 SD card.
You can definitely see the buffer log build up
and it takes a small amount of time to fully clear.
Well that was fun in a weird way. Hope you enjoyed it!
