but I just I just knew it in my heart that it wasn’t time for that yet

we know that one piece is
in fact The Greatest Story Ever Told
isn’t the greatest because of its peak moments
or its cool battles or when the animation breaks the internet
it’s great because this man has been telling a story
with the tiniest breadcrumbs being dropped
for 20 years anything of the smallest little detail ain’t gonna mean nothing
then boom
it’s a whole main character boom
it’s a whole plot device for an arc that comes five years later
it’s so good we just won’t try to
