I’m finally gonna watch the Eras Tour film
never watched it when it originally came out
because I didn’t wanna spoil the show
even though I knew all songs
but it’s finally happening and I am gonna finally watch the Eras Tour film
the first thing is how jarring it is to see this being formed in the dark
because I saw nearly all the show in the light in the UK
which is really jarring to me
and all seated I can’t imagine being seated on the floor for the show
it’s wild to me people were amazed when the floor was as it was elsewhere
this floor seat is so weird
The Archer is absolutely the song that was cut that hurts me the most
because I think that’s my favourite song from Lover
which is not my favourite album
but I love The Archer and I wish that she done it still
I get why it was cut though
I do get why it was cut
It’s only when you rewatch Taylor Swift performances
that you realise just how much pointing she does
it’s like
it’s like the constant thing that she does repeatedly in every single song
you belong with me she’s doing it too
the champagne problems clapping is the worst of all of the like
things people do on this tour
because this show is too long
we don’t need it to be longer
like stop clapping
get on with it like
genuinely so weird seeing this setlist now
because I didn’t feel like I got that used to this order
I feel like this film is proving that combining evermore and folklore sets
was probably a good decision
because I think that opening run of hits for
like an hour and a half of the show is a good thing that is in current show
This is also making me realise and remember just how little of the stage
the main stage she uses in the show
I’m fully convinced that the show would work better if it was fully in the round
and you could sell all of those back tickets
and you wouldn’t have those seats where you can’t see anything
other than when she comes near the front
cause I think it even on the film version
I’m getting this same feeling that I got when I was there
my main thing watching this is how quiet the crowd is in the mix
I think they’ve really dialed it back
because that is not what you could hear when you’re at the concert
it was mostly people screaming lyrics
the red section was the moment of the show
when I was just so exhausted by the hit after hit after hit
me and my brother were just like
this is exhausting that’s how we felt
it was like endless hits I just seem to never stop
I’m only up to the folklore section and I’m not even halfway through the film
how much longer is this Disney plus version than the actual show
there must be so many extra songs
I gonna have to go to bed like
I’m gonna have to do this tomorrow
I said after I got back from the gig
but August/Illicit Affairs is the peak moment of the Eras Tour
and I will hear nothing said otherwise
because watching that again
I’m overwhelmed watching it again
that is one of the best bits of any gig I’ve seen genuinely was amazing
this is the best Taylor Swift song
that’s just a fact
but Bad Blood needs to be gone from all Taylor Swift setlist from now on
oh this should have been on the setlist absolutely
I actually think this is probably the worst song on the entire set list
by this point 3 hours into the show
I was so done with the fact that I had to listen to vigilante shirt
I yeah nope
big big nope
and it’s amazing watching again
you get to this point and it’s like this
this is what we’ve come to
you kinda just need the show to be over now
the main thing I’ve forgotten about this
was just how little Taylor Swift actually speaks during this show
I’m pretty sure 1989 tour one of the speeches
would be more words than she’s said on stage for three and a half hours
That’s definitely not a bad thing because it was all about the music but
it’s really weird
especially in the film version
barely off the stage she just appears in a different outfit
it’s very late now and I lasted the whole thing
which I’m impressed by but yeah
Eras Tour film
film is as spectacular as I remember the show
and I definitely have FOMO still
and there’s only one show left in the UK
so I’m definitely never seeing it ever again
so I’m glad I watched it
