Title: The Explosive Controversy Surrounding Game Science’s Blacksmith Wukong: A Deep Dive into Game Developer Drama and Political Correctness in the Gaming Industry

This is probably the biggest game developer drama of the year,
and it all has to do with this.
I don’t see a lot of people talking about it on here,
so I’m gonna just summarize it for you.
Years ago, a small game studio named Game Science
came out with a trailer for their new game
called Blacksmith Wukong, and that video went absolutely viral.
However,
even when many gamers were super excited for the game to come out
eventually, um,
it seems like game journalists didn’t have the same perspective.
An infamous article came out from IGN,
and they basically stated that this game studio is super sexist
and put a bunch of slander onto game science.
And in the article, IGN had really poor backings to their claim.
Like, they used horrendous translations,
and a lot of their points were really reaching.
And there was an article that came out on Chinese Twitter,
and it basically said, the game studio
Game Science
has been subjected to persistent sexist attacks and slander
since their first promotional video
is because they have consistently refused
political correctness guidance
and rejected the extortionate guidance fees of millions of dollars.
We’re talking like seven millions or more,
to be exact. And specifically,
they pointed out D I. Consulting groups like Sweet Baby.
And since that article came out,
a lot of gamers started digging.
At the time, Sweet Baby Inc.
Already worked with a lot of games that basically flop.
Someone even Found a clip of the CEO of Sweet Baby Inc.
Stating that
if these tech CEOs or game developer studios won’t listen to you,
threaten them
that their games gonna be called sexist or not inclusive
until they agree. Go have a coffee with your marketing team
and just terrify them with the possibility of what’s gonna happen
if they don’t give you what you want. Then.
Just days before the game release,
um, Screenrant came out with their article and the review of the game.
They gave it a 3 out of 5 and they said,
I quote, there were no female or feminine NPCs,
enemies or bosses presence.
I’m just gonna say, as a Chinese American female gamer,
I don’t want a female Wukong.
That’s not Wukong. Wukong is a monkey.
He literally birth from a stone with no mom and dad like.
Anyways,
the game became available today and it’s breaking all records on steam.
