one of the
biggest Xbox games of the year
is already coming to PlayStation 5
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle looks great
no pun really intended
it’s coming from Machine Games
the people that made Wolfenstein
it’s a big Bethesda game and it was going to be an Xbox exclusive
and it kind of still is
sort of
it’s officially coming out on Xbox and PC on December the 9th
we got that during Gamescom
but on top of that it’s coming to PlayStation 5 in spring 2025
just three or four months after it comes out on Xbox
technically it doesn’t take anything away from Xbox players
and now PlayStation players can play it
and Xbox makes more money
but still it just feels weird to see
one of the biggest Xbox games of the year
go multiplat before it’s even out
I mean before if you’ve got a
big game like Indiana Jones
and it’s going to be an Xbox exclusive
you use that to sell consoles
that’s your main focus of what you’re doing
you’re trying to get more people to go from
PlayStation to Xbox
because of the cool games that you’ve got
instead Xbox is saying you can play it here or on PC
and get it a couple of months earlier
and on top of that you can play it through Game Pass
and kinda get it for free if you pay for the subscription
but if you really don’t wanna buy an Xbox and you don’t wanna play on PC
you can also just wait a couple of months and play it on PlayStation
but then people are going back to this quote from Phil Spencer
where he said that Indiana Jones
and Starfield wouldn’t be coming to PlayStation 5
which was technically
in reference to the four big games
that started off this trend of games going multiplat
and those ended up being Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush and a couple of other ones
but either way
not a great look
I mainly play on Xbox and for me this changes pretty much nothing
I was going to play Indiana Jones on my Xbox on day one
I’m still gonna play Indiana Jones on my Xbox on day one
but this is a weird shift for Xbox
let me know down below
what do you think about Indiana Jones coming to PlayStation 5
and what does this mean for the future of Xbox
