Dreams Fulfilled: My Journey with a Custom Diet Coke Machine

Today we are rapid fire answering questions
about my in home Diet Coke machine.
So the number one question about this thing is,
where did I get it from?
I got it from a website called Soda Dispenser depot dot com.
No, it is not my website.
I do not own it. I wish I owned it.
I wish. Actually,
that’s my dream job, to own, um,
a soda dispenser company. Like,
that’s literally my dream.
I don’t own that company. It’s not mine.
It’s just this random small family owned business based out of,
I think North Carolina or South Carolina,
something like that. They’re great.
Uh, all of the soda machines are custom made,
so they’re made to order. If you order one,
it takes like four to six weeks, um,
because they build it specifically for you.
But absolutely worth it. Now getting into the nitty gritty.
I’m gonna show you all the parts for it.
I’m gonna show you the soda bib, um,
and how, like,
how to order it, stuff like that.
But overall it’s great. I had some hiccups with the products I ordered
just because I didn’t order the right part.
But now I have the right part and it’s gonna get installed soon.
One of the cool things about owning your own Diet Coke machine is
you can take this thing off
and underneath there are knobs to change how carbonated it is
and how much syrup comes out.
So if I want it Super carbonated,
but not super heavy with syrup.
I just change the dials and adjust as needed.
And yes, the reason mine isn’t super carbonated at the moment
is because of the cold plate issue
and not having a remote chiller.
But now that I have a remote chiller,
it should be perfect. Also, yes,
it’s not ideal to have it next to my kitchen sink.
That was my only option. However,
it’s going to have a new home soon.
Just you wait. Hoses lead back here.
That used to be like a soap dispenser that we didn’t use.
And then it goes under the sink.
Jump scare alert! Trigger warning!
Trigger warning. Um, yes.
This is a disaster. I literally hired a task rabbit to do this,
so, like,
don’t come at me, please.
That’s the CO2 tank that. I don’t know what that is.
Actually don’t know what any of this is.
Um, there is this thing called a cold plate back here.
I bought mine with a cold plate,
but I shouldn’t have.
I should have just bought the correct part in the first place.
And then next to this is where I keep my soda bib.
Um, soda bibs are actually really easy to change out.
I worked in a soda shop in college.
Super easy to do. Also,
I ordered mine on Instacart.
It was like $100 and they last forever.
So that’s the soda bib or the bag in box?
Okay, now
I’m gonna Show you
the part that all of this is gonna get replaced with.
It’s gonna be a lot cleaner.
Um, but I’m just waiting until I have, like,
my new soda station set up to do the installation for it.
Oh, this is the remote chiller.
This is what I should have bought in the first place
from soda dispenser depot. Com,
but I didn’t. Um,
but this will consolidate, like,
everything under there, and there will be no need for a cold plate.
This will make sure it comes out really cold and really carbonated.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
But I absolutely love this thing.
Um, no regrets.
And, yes,
I am emulating Debbie. Van’s here.
