I’ve been very harsh in the Clippers new arena,
one feature they rolled out needs to become the new American standard
first. I still believe the following
preventing fans from selling tickets
and rewarding those who cheer with merch discounts
feels desperate.
I also made a video on how there’s no chance they’ll lose PG
Palmer picking this season.
He’s opening up a brand new two billion dollar venue.
To suddenly get cheap and lose the asset for nothing.
Makes no sense. I have to give credit where it’s due though.
The clips are launching a regional park and ride program.
Essentially it’s a massive shuttle.
Anyone who’s ever lived
or spent time in LA knows the nightmare of driving,
parking, or using the very limited public transportation.
This becomes an even bigger disaster when buying tickets to events
where you plan on having a couple of drinks.
Each blue circle you see in the map is a shuttle zone.
Fans park their cars
and the Clippers pick them up and drive them to the arena for free.
This isn’t just for basketball,
it’s standard for all shows and events.
Of course this is safer, cheaper,
and more convenient for fans and but it’s also huge for cities.
There is nothing uglier than a downtown landscape
dominated by sprawling parking lots.
I’m from Michael Smith and that’s my take.
