Blessed Surrender: A Tale of Bronze Medal and Faith

there was an error of that discovering gymnastic
oh you want me to give back my bronze medal
what I had won at the Olympics
oh um
well see
what had happened was
I was so filled with gratitude that I was blessed to win at that bronze medal
that I decided to rededicate myself to the Lord
you see cause I was named after the River Jordan in the Bible
and see me and my peoples
we all from Cedar Texas
so we went down to Cedar Texas
at the confluence of the napatoches and napatoches rivers
along with members of my church home family
Saint Peter Paul and Mary Missionary Baptist Church of god in Christ
full gospel on Tuesdays and Thursdays
we are holding this on Friday
Saturday and every fifth Sunday
now see where pastor had then dumped me
oh my god just the water washed over me
and then I felt the spirit honey
I see all kind of light I seen gold light
I seen silver light I seen bronze light
and I said whoa honey
pastor pulled me up out that water
oh my god then a wave just washed over me
just a strong way and see that bronze metal
it was in my left hand you know honey
it just took off down that neck adocious river
ooh child
I couldn’t even catch it and then I just thought about it ooh
I was in such a state of confusion
I said well
you know god give it at their bronze medal
and so I had to give it back unto him
and that’s why I’m not gonna be able to give it back to you
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
