this is Fleur
Fleur is a nine year old catahou
ever knows what dog and just like all seniors at the shelter
she’s got a story
Fleur used to play roller Derby
but that’s before her arthritis started acting up
she smokes a pack of cigarettes a day
and even though we tell her that it’s bad for her
she doesn’t care what we think
she just wants to wear a red flannel button down
and watch the sunset over a frothy IPA
Fleur likes the smell of plastic lawn chairs
because it reminds her of her days of betting on horses down at the tracks
by sitting in the lawn chair
I became her kindred spirit
and she produced her head for affection
Fleur doesn’t ask for much
but she is looking for a lap to lay on
begrudgingly she allowed me to follow her around for the rest of this video
Fleur got her first tattoo when she was just a toddler
and she eats her fried eggs right out of the skillet
because why wash the extra plates
this lady’s been around the block
and she’s oozing with wisdom and knowledge
she doesn’t usually feel the need to please anyone
so I was pretty surprised when she took the street just to be polite
despite the very true facts of this entire video
Fleur is terrified in the shelter
we’re having a really hard time getting her to eat in the shelter
