It’s that time again where we turn my house into a hotel for a guest.
So I’ve got one of my lovely friends, serene,
coming to stay. So it’s time to get the room ready,
started doing the fresh towels.
I’ve just got a little one
and some hand towels to put on,
which are gonna go on there.
So let’s do those. Lovely.
So that’s the towels. Right,
we’ve. We’ve put a working kettle up.
Everyone was saying about a kettle.
We have a working kettle. And he’s a bit of a clean.
And then we’ve also got a little mini fridge.
I’m gonna show you what’s gonna go in there in a second.
So we’ve got a mini fridge.
I’ve got hotel slippers.
That is for shirene. I’ve got some hotel slippers and a hotel gown.
So, slippers.
And this is super fluffy. Look at that.
This is a hotel dressing gown,
so that is for sure in there.
Right, before we do a clean,
let’s get all the bits and bobs out.
Sorry, straightening the rack.
Oh, look,
that labels out. That label needs to go away.
Right, so this is the tea and coffee station.
So what we need to do is get out the teas and the coffees
and the biscuits. I did go a little bit extra.
I went extra. So in the drawers we have got,
if I can open them.

coffee pots. So we get some of those out and then Get some.
Got some gold ones. Got those.
I have also got. Wait for it.
Oh,
sugars.
And let me turn around. I wanna look at what I’ve got.
Little mini sugars and look,
little mini milks.
Look,
sugars and milks for the tea or the coffee.
So it’s like being in a hotel.
So we’ll put some of those out.
Okay, so little coffee pods can go in this little drawer here.
In there. So put some purple ones in.
Oh, get them on the right way.
And then we’ve got some gold ones.
I think they’re different strengths,
to be honest. There we go.
Pop those. Oh,
gotta drop one. Pop,
pop those. It’s an apple.
Put the purple one in. There you go.
There’s the. There’s the coffee pods for the machine.
Then we’ve got little milks and little sugars.
Right. Milks and sugars. Done.
Now I’ve got biscuits.
Right. I got a second in here.
I’ve got biscoffs,
which we will get some biscoffs out.
Okay, so pop some biscoffs.
Oh, gotta get around the right way.
Oh, no, pops.
Oh, that’s not around.
But we got some little mini biscotti’s in here.
Look, I’ve got biscuits,
more slippers and little popcorns.
So we’re gonna get some of those out.
Right. Selection of those
and that you’re not having.
Those are gonna go. That’s what I got this for.

here we go. Some little snacks in case shirene gets hungry.
Okay, so that’s.
That’s All done. That’s set up as you need to put the bedding on,
which I will do shortly in the bathroom.
It should all be clean, to be honest.

I could do. I’m gonna give it a little final wipe.
So we’ve already. I’ve already pre done this.

So we’ve got some facial moisturising, cleanser, moisturiser, deodorant,
hairspray, some Molton Brown,
some toothpaste, some Nivea.
Then we got this over here.
I am going to maybe see what else I can put in the shower.
Yes. I’ve got a little loofah.
There we go. That can go on that.
Got some more uplifting body wash,
so we’ll put that one in nicely too.
So I’ve also bought shower steamers.
Look at these.
So I’m gonna put some shower steamers in that.
I’m gonna do a,
um, eucalyptus and a lime and mint for Sherry
so she can have a nice shower now.
She’ll pop those in there.
So I haven’t used these shower steamers yet.
I need to use them myself.
I just haven’t had a chance.
So they can go back on there now.
I do have freshly washed bedding and I’ve matched it to the room.

Look, we’ve got navy.
This is Egyptian cotton. Nice and soft.
All ready to go on the bed.
In the process of doing laundry,
as you can see. So these are all my wash towels,
just in case. Now we do have some gifts for shirene,
cause I’ll say all of my guests get gifts.

Cherie, being Scottish,
she says she loves Iron brew
and I’ve got it somewhere.
And she loves cream soda. Apparently
in my cupboards, I’ve already bought some iron brew.
This is the one she likes,
the sugar free one. And then I did an Amazon order
because cream soda is not something that is easy to get hold of.
So I ordered some cream soda,
which should be, I hope,
in this box way right. So this is what I’ve got.
Cream sodas. And I’ll see if I can get it out 100.
There we go. Obviously the Mini fridge is on,
which I will give a little bit of a clean on the outside,
but these are gonna go in the mini fridge in here.

cleaning thing. I like the rooms to smell nice.

I do have some lovely wax melts.
I’m very grateful. Look how.

cause I’m obsessed with them.
Right, we just need to choose one for serene.

I should put those in. Tomorrow she arrives in the morning,

We’re not even gonna go in there right now.

Needs a bit of fluffing, but that’ll do.
Nice fresh bedding, nice navy colour.
There we go. I think it’s really important as well,
when people, like,
come and stay at my house,
I want them to feel at home.
Um, and I know what it’s like when you go and stay at someone’s house
and it’s always a bit like, oh,
it was lovely, but I couldn’t wait to get home.
I want people to feel like they’re at home,
so that’s why I asked them, like,
what their little comforts are,
you know, like,
Cherine likes Irn Bru and she likes a cuppa and a coffee.
Like, those little things hopefully make people feel like, ah,
it’s like being at home. So that’s what.
That’s what we like. So the room is ready,
so we’ve got the slippers and the dressing gown.
We’ve got a new fresh bedding on.
Got a little gift basket I am brewing,
the fridge and the kettle,
and then the little drinks and snacks stations ready.
Fresh towels, all the toiletries she needs.
Everything’s clean and tidy,
ready to go. Hopefully she enjoys staying
