A Day Filled with Simple Pleasures: Walks, Eggs, Sourdough, and Contemplations

Took my baby on a walk. My hubby made me eggs.
Fresh sour dough from the kitchen of Leah’s Cocina.
That’s really just the best. Egg
and toast. Nothing like a fresh sourdough.
Are you part of the community that likes eggs with ketchup,
or are you the community that hates the eggs with the ketchup?
My idea today was to mix a little Sriracha with the ketchup.
Um, and I only like the ketchup either on,
like, a breakfast sandwich or.
Is that okay? The whites of the egg.
I’m about to make a cucumber salad dedicated to Logan.
Cause sometimes you just need to eat a whole cucumber,
but I wanted to, like,
marinate for a little bit,
so I’m gonna make it this morning.
Weather is gorgeous. We got a busy weekend.
Sometimes I prefer to stay busy,
but, you know,
I’m listening to an audiobook.
Um, it’s called The Mountain Is You. Okay,
I’ll put the author down here.
And they’re saying some people who were, like,
chronically busy, who chronically keep themselves busy, are, like,
running from something. So then I’m, like,
thinking in my head,
what. What’s going on?
What’s going on? Of that holidays are coming now, so.
Me too. I love the freaking holidays with you guys.
Not. I love them too, mom.
Yeah, I just.
Oh, yeah,
we should. We.
Radio City was fun. Mario would probably really enjoy it now.
Pinky promise? Um,
what is that? Cross your fingers.
Hope To die?
No,
I don’t know that one.
Cross your fingers. Piggy promises. Oh, forever.
So you tell me. I don’t know.
The New Age hand symbols. What does that mean?
The girl sign.
Okay,
for the sourdough toast, you gotta put the toaster on 6.
Why are you closing your eyes like that?
I won’t do the ketchup sriracha mixture again, babe.
No, too much bullshit.
Just prefer, like,
either oil. You know,
you don’t really get the Sriracha flavor. You just get.
But not even hot, like just ketchup.
Yeah, cause Sriracha is ketchup.
No, it’s not.
But it tastes like ketchup.
You’re right.
This is so yummy. Yeah.
