Adventures of a Yes Woman: A Day of Solo Travel and Saying Yes in New Zealand

Welcome to a day in my life as a yes woman.
I’m currently in New Zealand because I guess what said yes?
An incredible solo travel opportunity.
Now, if you’ve been here for a while,
you know that I love solo travelling.
I truly believe the best things happen outside of your comfort zone.
Another thing I’m trying to say yes to more is food.
Even if it means having loads of sugar in the morning
once in a blue moon. No,
stop it! I just went to my favourite gluten free bakery
and they recognised me from the story that I put up
and they said thank you so much for sharing
and they gave me free cookies.
They literally made two cookies just for me.
They didn’t even make them in bulk.
Look at that, they’re vegan and gluten free and still warm,
so I have to try it.
Gooey! It was hot.
After trying that delicious cookie,
I was asked if I want to go to the hot pools in Christchurch.
And obviously, what should I say?
Yeah, it was kind of cold,
so I went into the sauna to warm up.
But then someone asked me if I want to go to the Antarctic centre.
So obviously I said yes and my body was so confused.
It was very cold already and apparently
so the people that worked at the Antarctic centre
asked if I wanted to go in the storm simulator,
and I’m not gonna lie, It was really cold already,
but what should I say? Yes.
But then I went to this cozy wine farm
and I got to warm up by the fire.
And I may not drink, but I do eat.
And the food was delicious.
And then they asked if I wanted to go to the star grazing event,
and it’s basically where you watch the stars and graze on your meal
at the same time. We were being cooked for by celebrity chef
chef Ben Bailey under the sun.
Do I. Am I supposed to feel so wrong?
Oh my God, that is so good.
This is. Fuck you!
It’s just what I needed. Oh,
so warm. I just smell truffle all over myself.
That’s a life hack. Haha.
It’s getting weird now. Thank you.
Oh, thank you so much.
What the heck? This looks amazing.
If you couldn’t tell already,
this was truly the best night of my life.
I’m really full, but I’m still gonna go through it.
I hope this shows you the power of saying yes
and being brave and doing things alone.
Cause I think I might have found my new favourite place.
