Epic Success: Black Myth Wukong Sets Records with 10 Million Copies Sold and Massive Player Count Surge

Black Myth Wukong is selling a ton of copies.
The official account for the game shared a post
saying that over 10 million copies of the game have been sold
since it launched on Tuesday.
In fact, Daniel Amad over at Niko Partners
confirmed
that this makes it one of the fastest selling games of all time,
beating out Elden Ring, Hogwarts legacy,
and even putting it on the level of Pokemon.
But this is not the first record Wukong is beat in a week.
In fact, the game cruise past Elden Ring,
cyberpunk, Counter Strike 2,
and Power World
to land the second highest all time peak player count on steam
with 2,415,714 players at a single time.
But in the fine print on this announcement graphic,
the devs confirmed
that it was actually over 3 million concurrent players
instead of the 2.4 million on steam.
Which means
that probably about 600,000 people are playing on PlayStation 5.
And that makes a ton of sense.
PC gaming is way more popular than console gaming in China,
with 319 million PC players
compared to about 18 million console players.
And all of this happened in the first week.
These numbers could go even higher from here.
But let me know down below what do you think about the game
and are you playing Black Myth Wukong?
